Dak's Place - 2017 Summer, Fall, Winter & Spring
Dak's Place is our online Pub and Local, where all are welcome to this PFZ (Politics-Free Zone.) We may have our differences out there, but in here we're all friendly! Our hosts here -- Dak, Tiko, Jenny, Bleithe, and Oddword -- try to restore order when we get out of hand. Mountain Dew and Lisberry Margaritas are forever on the house in here. The juke box on the patio is filled with Dak's sax music collection and Oddword's oldies. You also might enjoy a stroll in the garden out back where the landscaping and feeders attract a variety of bird life. In the fall and winter, a roaring fire is lighted in the woodstove. In the summer, the doors to the deck are thrown open and patrons may wish to sit and enjoy their beverages in the soft air.

Thank you so much for setting this up, Gryphon! I really appreciate it.
And now, for some news to open our new establishment: ***drumroll***
Cameron has a job! Starting in about a week, he will be an instrument cleaner / repair technician for Zeswitz Music in Reading, Pennsylvania!
So now it's another week of hurrying up to get an apartment and getting ready to go. The nice thing is that he bought all of his furniture and everything he needs for his apartment when he went to Renton, and it's all still packed up from when he came home. So it's just a matter of getting a trailer, and away we go!

Two sons employed in one month! That's going to be a long road trip, Lis.
I've brought several leather, zero clearance, motorized lift, massaging, heated recliners with attached swing-away tables for your eating, drinking and computing comfort and side pockets for phones and remote controls in the just the colors you prefer. They are mounted on swivel bases so you can look out the windows or at the widescreen TV that I'm sure Debbily will be bringing in soon.

We're all excited about the boys...
Mom is doing very well. She is still talking about when she goes home to live alone...but that just isn't safe at all anymore. So...I think this may be the weekend for a long, heartfelt talk about that.... Darn, these things are tough.

I was ready to blame yuku, but it's dead. Then I realized I was not logged in here. Turns out using an ellipsis causes it, like this...
A sunny day here. Yesterday went from 44 to 75, today has gone from 45 to 77 so far.
FE's sister survived the hurricane though her power is out. The forecast for her town is for a total of 24" of rain during this event. Half a year of my rain in a few days.

Uh oh.... Will I have to stop using ellipses? I've used them for decades, ever since I came online and realized that I talk that way. My words just fade out at the end of a sentence...
So glad FE's sister is okay. But geez, all of that horrible humidity and no air conditioning? Sounds awful....
