Well, the good news for the kids is that they have officially delayed the egg hunt by a week.
The bad news for us is that we're officially in the 5-8" snow band -- on top of a glaze of ice first, of course. Joy....

Closest I can come to the sound of a violin....
Isn't a cold snap after a tease just the worst? We had several days of sunshine in the 60s -- I think we may have even made it to 71 one day. And then we've had cold wind and precip ever since. The sun has been back for the last couple of days and it's been in the 40s -- but wind chills have been in the 20s, so it doesn't count.
But I'll take ALL of this over the twirly winds EVERY day....

Awwwwwwww.... Had some tortilla chips and nacho cheese. Didn't satisfy. Might have to have something in the night. 
Well, the 11:00 meteorologist put us back into the 3-6" snow band. I don't think they really know. The two places I watch most closely have us in either a 4-6" or 5-8" snow band. Everyone is talking about it being a heavy, wet snow -- but wild winds will be enough to blow it around, so...whiteouts. Joy.

My niece went to the remains of her apartment today. She couldn't go up the stairs but the workers on site retrieved the few possessions left...mostly family pictures which she was thankful to get. I gave her two words of advice...Retail Therapy.

we are getting a few minutes of attempted snow, sun shine, rain, blusteries, repeat. I'll take it!
Well, I've achieved something pretty dang wonderful in my world. I'm wearing jeans that I haven't been close to fitting in for ..sheez.... 20 years? Yah, I can't breath but they're ON!! My previous jeans kept falling off so I had to dig out something else. wheee!!
Neighbor dude decide yesterday that I'm not allowed to park on the shoulder of the road by his house. I should park across the street on someone else's road shoulder. I nicely let him vent, assured him that my kids do not go in his yard and that I was legally parked. We're waiting for the school bus. Yesterday, he just hollered from his doorway. Today, he came out to the car to ask my WHY I had to park there. uh... school bus? Updates to follow.
